HPDE season finale forecast: 27' / 41' F
with a 30% chance of rain / snow showers.
Any suggestions re: tire pressures (Kumhos), tranny temp before going WOT, etc?

The Sat forecast at NJMP features a 70% chance of rain/snow, though looks about 4deg warmer.
Coldest I have run is in the mid 40s, I think. Looks like first sessions will be in the upper 30s. Will take a few laps for the A6s to defrost. Thankfully I am driving to the track so there will be some heat in the car.

Ecsta XS' - should have clarified.
I lower the tire pressures a bit when track is real hot so figuring I should do the reverse this Sat. From 1pm - 5pm so temps in the 20s are not likely.
Can't wait to see how many run with the heat on. If it's in the low 30s, start the count @ 1.

Hi Terry,
Use a lot of caution, especially on the first runs. Traction will be way down and HP will be way up. I got a great set of race seats, harness bar and harnesses from a fellow that totaled his C6ZO6 last fall in cold weather.
Be safe!

I sat out today (35-40deg, 25mph wind, various levels of rain). Drainage at T-bolt is abysmal (lots of puddles and running water). My friend's STi hydroplaned on the front strait and smacked the wall.

I bailed as well. No way I was driving to and from LRP in the snow. Apparently some driving actually occurred on Sat, but reasonably, I do not know how they can declare that no refunds will be given as drivers " drivers were on the track today." If you're trailoring the car, I can see how you might try it but if not, driving to and from in Sat's weather was dangerous, bordering on stupid. They did arrange with the track for a bonus re-schedule which is great but I am out of town that week. Is it unreasonable to expect a refund or a comp day next year?

23* last year when I hit the track at VIR. They require windows down at all times. Had to come in after 4 laps as hands were "FROZEN!!" I did invest in some nice leather racing gloves though. Will be taking them in a couple of weeks.
