Default Where did all Corvette Race Cars for sale go?

Haven't seen anything come recently. I've seen Joe's cars at Phoenix, but that's a bit outside the budget.

Any others that I haven't seen? Preferably looking for ST2 car.

Thanks - never heard about those sites

I'm trying to find the stuff that isn't listed. Typically those are the deals you want to get.

You gotta be kidding me? You set and reset the TTS lap record at CMP in your GT3 and now you want to get back in a Vette? Is it time for me to buy new socks again?

I wouldn't want to go racing in a GT-3 either. No easily replacable cheap body panels. Metal body gets banged up a whole bunch more than composite and you can't fix it with tape as easily as our cars... and then there's the whole engine thing. Last I checked a new GT-3 engine was in the $30k range!

yep - you nailed it. I loved the car and I really mean that - it is amazing. But, sitting here and contemplating caging it and looking at 10K for transmission or 15K for an engine if anything happens is simply more than I can handle.

So, car got picked up this morning and I'm ready to get something else. I found a pretty cool BMW and trying to see if there are any Vettes for sale. Not sure what I'll end up with, but need something soon - can't be without a racecar!

Holy cow, you set a record this past weekend with it and sold it already? WOW!

Are you planning on W2W or still TT?

Back to W2W. TT is fun, but I miss the side by side action.

Another place to look it Registry of Corvette Race Cars on Facebook. The Registry has been dead for a couple of years but the Facebook page is pretty active now. It's going to take time but it's growing.

Also, the most recent Vintage Motorsport magazine has a Corvette racer on the cover.

Crap you can buy a used C5Z, put a cage in, and other race prep and still have $5,000 left over

Are you looking for a ready to race car with a cage or one that you plan on building yourself?

Would you be interested in a SCCA T2 350Z? It is available and ready to race!

Unfortunately T2 doesn't translate well into NASA classing.

Alex,

Now you see my point. I would love to TT or w2w a GT3, but I simply can not afford to crack one up, or to put a new motor in one when it goes. I am sure you can find a car. Heck I bet you can find one in time for RA!
