Default Racing seats question

Hello

Can anyone recommend consoles for racing seats?

Do I need additional modules for the electronics?

Thank you very much

Are you trying to maintain electric motion with aftermarket/race seats?

Not clear on what you are asking? If you just want to install race seats and don't care if you have a seatbelt/airbag light on, then all you have to do is install them. Besure to put the steering wheel where you want it when you take the OEM seats out because it will not telescope and that is where it will stay. If you want certain things to work, IE: airbags and airbag lights, seat belt lights and so on, then things get quite a bit more complicated. JD
NOTE: if you do this (install race seats and nothing else) be aware that both of your airbags are not functional!!!!

I have Corbeau seats for my C6Z06. I put them in for track events and pull them out when I'm done.

take off the front moldings, unbolt the 4 bolts, lift the seat up, unbolt the seat belt, unplug the electrical connectors. lift the seat out, put the racing seat in, bolt down. Easy

you can get a module to have the steering wheel adjustment work...but like in the street configuration, you set it once and don't touch it again. the module was a waste of $100 bucks for me.

If you are just removing the drivers seat and want the airbags to work you can follow the instructions in this post that I made a couple of months ago.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...race-seat.html

If you want the telescoping wheel to work you need to buy a harness from Pfadt. Unfortunately that unit requires you to take out the memory box from your current seat.

If you are planning on removing the passenger seat you are in for a much bigger challenge....

Hello

So much I have understood the module is only because of the steering control.

When I use the vette works simulators I have no more problems, right?

If you follow the instructions in my other post (listed above) for using the Vetteworks simulators for the Drivers seat the air bags will work and you won't have any warning on. However the telescoping wheel / memmory will not work.

If you remove the passenger seat you need to get advice from someone else that has done it, because, it is a Much more involved process.
