I put a delrin shift **** on my car before Nasa Championships and was able to win TTS and set a track record too. I would go with delrin.

I have the Hardbar delrin **** and think its great. I especially like the height of it. Its longer than stock, bringing it closer to hand and giving you more leverage.

I too have the Hardbar Delrin shift **** (thanks Gary!) but have not installed it yet (mine is a somewhat custom application and I need to have the shifter shaft threaded for the Delrin ****). I can't wait to get it installed - as others have reported the length and shape indicate it should work very well.

I have the MGW Race ****. I haven't tried the Hardbar one but just looking at the two I thought that the larger diameter of the MGW one would be easier to grab/push when using an overhand grip (like for the 2-3 and 3-5 shifts). It seems like the Hardbar one would prefer to be held like a pistol grip.

Hardbar's Delrin **** is $65 + shipping. Wow! You can buy quite a bit of Delrin with that and make your own!

MGW owner George suggested to make the **** heavy and I took his advice. Mine is 1 3/4" dia. x 2 3/4" long cres, I machined it with double angle at the bottom portion to fit my hand, internally threaded to 2 1/2", so it sits 1/4" above the stem. I don't have problem with heat, but I gave it a mirror finish so it can be annoying to some! But I made it the way I like it, so its all good to me!

JMHO. Shift **** is personal, its one of the major links to the control of your vette, if you can, tailor make is the only way to go.

HTH!

Pics please!
With delrin style it's easier and faster to shift 1-4, but I think MGW is more convenient at all gears...
