Default New Corvette DP for Grand Am

Pretty cool - you think this is a test bed for a rear-mid-engined layout for the C7?

You don't think the Riley chassis would be different from the Pratt Miller? I'd love to if it's doable plus much less expensive.

Nice looking car! And I hate the looks of DPs.

Do we know that the chassis itself is a Pratt part? I assumed it was a P&M body on an existing manufacturer chassis. Unfortunately all of the articles (including that on grand-am.com) were poor in technical detail, they alluded that the body was compatible, but never said specifically.

This is as close as we will get (for some time) of the ~2009 Corvette LMP1 concept, which still has a tunnel model displayed in the P&M lobby

We do know that and the answer is it is not a P&M chassis. See my post above which is a direct quote from Chevrolet that this new body will fit 3 current DP chassis.

Thanks Everett, any news that P&M intend to build a DP chassis in the future? My misunderstanding, I took your post to be a statement by you as an individual, and not GM proper.

No worries, and the closest thing in print I can currently find is a statement that GM worked closely with the 3 chassis makers. But I definitely heard them directly say it during the live video unveiling!

P&M has been working with Coyote, to develop their chassis, but P&M isn't a licensed DP chassis constructor (unless they purchased the Coyote license).

Nice! Now I just need less money to make the change, but more money than I currently have to spend.
This darn racing addicton....... now I need to go find the money to do it.

I would love to have a Mosler but in addition to my DP.

Waiting on possible 2012 sponsors. It's looking good but it's the same old story..... it's not done until the check clears the bank.
If we get the money, we will for sure get the new Corvette body and that will tie it in very nicely with my Corvette driving school.
Hoping to make the 24, but a couple of more weeks will tell.
