6 Point Belts
Where is the best place to buy 6 point belts?
I also don't know much about them. Is there something I should be aware of when making my selection. As with most things, the prices vary from mfg to mfg. I am installing in a C6Z06 and using a Sparco Evo 2 seat. I believe the rails I mounted this to have all the necessary hook up points.
What is a good price for these?

I think the belts are important like a good helmet. You've heard the line..... 10 dollar helmet for a 10 dollar head.
I have a set of Schroth 6 points. Great quality and after trying others, I found that they are the easiest to tighten and loosen which you will do many many times

What is the difference also with the end type. They offer bolt in, wrap around and snap in. I assume wrap around is needed for the shoulder straps to go around the harness bar.

Type is more important than maker. Are you using HANS?
Nylon belts not as good as polyester.
SFI expire in 2 years. FIA last 5 years.
Using HANS consider 2" hans specific shoulders or the double should 3" body 2" HANS belt
Most are comfortable when shoulders have pull down sliders and you will need 3 bar sliders to "wrap anchor" on the harness bar. McMaster Carr online has the split ring collars for the harnessbar to prevent the belts from sliding. Zipties will not hold in a crash.
Lapbelts, most like pull up sliders. 3" is standard but 2" has been shown to capture the pelvis better and reduce submarining. Most dual use HPDE drivers use snap in anchors
Subbelts: A "formula style" harness or a schroth or sparco "hybrid" give the most space for the jewels and the best anti submarine control of the lap belt. T bars can be particularly painful. Mounting is all over the map depending on your set-up. Where ever you mount the Sub anchor make sure you could lift your car from that point then it is strong enough. I hate to see people put a big washer on a tin floor and hook their subs to them. If you put a floor jack there you go right through the floor. A 20G delta is a 35mph Delta crash. That means a 175lb guy weighs 3500lbs when crashing at 35mph delta!
I like the simpson platinum formula style, and schroth hybrid.
You need to configure anchors and pull up/down as proposed above.

I run these shoulders and they are awesome but pricey. I like the comfort. I have been through 2 sets of these so far.

Hey C5...Howie knows me I'm #88 if you want to see those belts next time.
Good Luck!
