Default NARRA GTU / NASA ST1 race car build thread

Speedsouth / Active Power Racing has been commissioned to build another winner. Follow along as we transform this daily driver C6 automatic coupe into a max effort race car.

The car is currently being dismantled, so if you need any parts, check out the for sale thread.

I have tracked my C6 A4 a couple of times and would have troble with the fluid pickup in the transmission. Let me know how you overcome this problem.

Um... guys... they're ripping it all out and selling it. I highly doubt they're building an auto GTU/ST1 race car But I could be wrong.

Wouldn't it be smart to sell the auto and buy a M6

Again... the car is just a donor... they're stripping everything out of it and replacing it all. They really only want the frame and the front/rear cradles etc. They'll make more parting out all those nice parts then starting with a wrecked car. Doesn't matter that it's not a 6-speed when everything is being replaced.

That's correct, the automatic will be discarded in favor of an EMCO sequential 6 speed.

That's serious stuff. You're spending more on the transmission than the donor car!
