Transponder installation Question
Installing a hardwired MyLaps transponder on my C6Z06. The transponder instructions are to mount vertical without metal or carbon fiber beneath. I can't find a suitable spot in the engine bay. The wheel housing is an option but not ideal because of rain and track debris. If mounted inside the car, would the carbon composite floor panel interfere with the signal?

DQ'd for using red wire for grounding!!
You should also be using Sun Auto Hyper Ground wire (the titanium lug nuts of wiring) for all grounds:

There are plenty of places up front to zip tie the unit. It is pretty hardy.

[QUOTE=sperkins;1579710369]Zip tie to lower radiator support
Rivet to radiator shroud
I considered this, but I have a carbon fiber undertray that extends all the way back to the bottom of the radiator. Plus the area immediately in front of the radiator is solid metal on a C6. I also considered on the shroud between the radiator and front of the engine but can't find a spot to mount it vertically. Can it be mounted at an angle?

Since it's for time trails, just put some velcro on it and attach it to the rear bulkhead of the indention between the rear wheels. It's inside of the car and and protected. The beam will shoot through the composite that is the bottom of the tub. Just mount it as low in that place as possible.
You can splice a lighter connection on the end of it and use the lighter receptacle in the car to power it.
Take it out when you're not using it.

I might have them package them together with my titanium lugnut offer as well, since they are the single safest thing to do to your car.
