Default If you drilled the rear brake backing plate please post.

I am going to do it, but I don't see how it can be done without removing the upright (for the drilling). Even if you cut off a stud and try drilling thru the stud hole, the stud hole is not big enough to get a drill thru that is the size of the head of the stud.

From the back I don't see the space to put a 3/8 or a 1/2 inch standard power drill in correct alignment to drill the hole?

The arp stud has a 17mm head (a little bigger than stock stud), so you are talking about a couple mm bigger (about 3/4 inch) hole needed.

Is there some trick or does the knuckle come off for the drilling? c5z06.

Why not just remove the backing plate and E-brake crap all together?

Hi,

It's still a street registered car & I use the e-brake occasionally.

Calif is not currently interested in a car's safety, only if if pollutes some micro of hydrocarbon, whatever.

However, I would not put it past some moron in Sacramento to come up with a new program that inspects wipers, brake lights etc.

Actually I wish they would stop already with the air, it's gotten much better, and get some of these unregistered crap can's off the road.

You would not believe what I see driving down the freeways.

When I lived back east the emphasis was on safety. Exact opposite out here.

when we built our house and it was inspection time, the only thing they ever looked at and cared about was erosion control. forget the structure or the electrical or the plumbing, where is your run off going, where is your silt fence, you need more here, etc. Bow to the almighty southern speckled green horned salamander.
