Default C5 Control Arm question(s)

So after a few seasons of autocrossing my C5Z, I've noticed that the lower control arms are pushing thru the bushings and are almost touching the mount. The Upper arms seem to be good so far.

I run in SCCA Stock class so I can't go anything custom or 'aftermarket' like any upgrades.

Can you just replace the bushings on them? I thought I read a while back that you could rebuild one of them, but couldn't remember if it was the upper or lower.

If so, any recommendations on where to get them and not get raked over the coals? If not, then I'll just have to pick up a couple.

TIA

Do a search in this section and you'll come up with a bunch of options, poly, spherical, delrin....

Also check out Pfadt's website.

Like I said, I cannot use those upgraded bit in Stock class, so I need OEM Style.

So, you're saying the lower control arms can be rebuilt?

Probably just easier to buy a couple of used control arms.

Can you use T1 arms? Same arm with stiffer bushings. They're made by GM.

No, not in SCCA stock class. Just go out and buy as set of new
control arms.

I did not want to buy new control arms and have the same problem with the bushing walking out. I pressed out the bushing that was moving and reinstalled it backwards. Now it has a lip to push against to keep it in place. I did this two years ago and have had no problems.

Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at as well. I'd rather spend the extra $ and be able to swap it out than go and spend all the time and have teh car incapacitated.

I did this fix for a friend and posted a pic some time ago. It's a cheap fix and it works. Here is a pic I posted in 2009 (was it really that long ago???)

Here is a link to the step by step as to how to do it so that it all bolts up again...
