Default Traqmate Question

At CMP last weekend, my Traqmate shows my lap times 9 to 10 seconds faster than they were. Any ideas what caused this and how I fix it?

Hmmmm....very strange!!!

I don't know how that could possibly happen with the GPS....

Except for one thing!!

You can see on the track map that the green flag (start line) and the red flag (finish line) are in the exact same place - and in the screenshot above the blue dot indicating the position of the car is going right across the s/f line.

So....the only thing I could think is that maybe your s/f lines are not in the same place. Check the track map on TraqStudio to make sure the green/red flags are in the same place, and if not change the coordinates of them so they are both the same.

Other than that, I dunno!?!?

Mo - depending on your antenna location TQ can lose signal. It then just tries to fill in the gaps so you get crazy lap times. Look at your speeds and see if they are off in any given segment.

All is good. I am not sure what it was. I had the display plugged into the PC by the USB cord, and I was viewing the sessions on the display. I downloaded the sessions onto the PC and they are fine when I view them with the Traqmate software. After unplugging the display and plugging it back in, the lap times on the display match those downloaded to the PC.

Strange.....

Ahh, yes, now I see it! I was totally distracted by the 173, 5th gear with room to spare.

Now I need to find that thread on reinforcing the Katech splitter.

Hi Jim

Not too much room!!! You've got to lose about 120 mph to get around T1 into the infield - I usually lift shortly after the s/f line.

Yeah - get that reinforcement and come on down this fall. There are about 4 HPDE's in Oct, Nov, and Dec.

Yeah, it also has Daytona in the file name. I guess you wouldn't want me as a eye witness!

Been watching the news lately. I heard that the Solar storms and Heavy magnetic fields are playing hell with GPS.
