Default New Road Race motor fresh off the dyno

Recently had our new 383 LS6 on the dyno: 570 hp 477 torque on a known conservative engine dyno

* Schwanke short block about 11 to 1
* Advanced Induction full cnc ported 243's
* .612 lift cam
* GMPP 4 bbl manifold
* Holley HP 4150 750 cfm
* Schoenfeld headers
* stock l92 pressure oil pump with barnes scavenge dry sump pump

Will replace the 480 hp LS1 in our Howe/Bemco Camaro for the Crane Cams V8 StockCar Series

Those sound like solid numbers! Now all we need is a video!

at what rpm are those numbers? Sounds like a strong motor.

Max power: 6800 and still climbing
Max Torque: 5500

The rev limit was set at 6900, Byron Koury, the engine builder who did final assembly and dyno stated he thought it would continue to make HP for another 400-500 rpm. He said he would guess another 10 HP.

Gonna leave it at 6900 for reliability.

This is our first 383 and I am pleased. I think the Advanced Induction heads were key, plus a nice road race cam in a good, cost effective short block from Schwanke.

Byron Koury also stated that the Holley 750 carb by Crandall Sizemore of the Spirit of Daytona DP Corvette team is a very fine one.

I have never had one of our race cars on a rear wheel dyno, but I'll make a guesstimate and say 510 ish ???
