Default 2-Piece Rotors NOW allowed in NCCC 3E Class

Just got the clarification from the RCD meeting...

Now to start assembling my C6Z06 stuff to get it swapped out...

The J55 system is OK...but nothing like the newer brakes on the Z06. It's an "occasional" track car with autocrosses well, the rest is road miles. I realize that race calipers are better...but the budget is not going to allow a system for just the front when I can do an entire car for the same price with the Z06's.

I DID ask about the Z07 brakes...no dice unless you want to jump to RP class.

Haven't looked at the rule book closely lately. I thought we had that kind of stuff cleared up about 7 to 8 years ago.

Bill,
3E could use ANY aftermarket brakes, but only single-piece iron rotors.

Now they are (finally) letting us use 2-piece rotors...

RP can run (practically) anything...including the ZR1/Z07 carbon ceramic rotors.

Cool. I stopped paying attention to NCCC rules long ago. When I glassed over my headlight openings I went straight to RP. Unfortunately in my area, my stock '90 on street tires was good enough for overall FTD most of the time. Unless rasrboy showed up!

Regrettably the class structure over the last 20 years has gotten so cumbersome most people end up in one car classes so everybody is running for FTD instead of a class win.

Yeah...Aaron is a real PITA

I CERTAINLY don't regret he's in Ohio and I'm in Texas...other than he's a great guy to party with...

Although the new kid MIGHT slow him down some...take advantage while you can Mike...

Mike will be turning heads with that C4 when he gets out, he's a great
3rd generation Corvette racer.

Joe, cant wait to see you brush the cobb webs off your car. If you need
someone to show you how to go fast, just call me.

Your Ohio buddy!

You sure you still know how to drive one of these dinosaurs fast Aaron?

I'm hoping to make it to Topeka this year...it isn't very far up the road for me. Going to Hallett in April to recertify my high-speed license and work out some of the bugs in the car. Should be fun...maybe you should bring the Kuhmo rig with a car and have some fun with us?
