RA1 Tire pressure
What is the best tire pressure for the street and the track. Cold and hot. These are new tires with full tread. I assume they are close to the nitto r compound.

Toyo Tires recommends the following general set up guidelines for the Proxes RA1:
Operating Temperature: 160°F to 220°F
Hot Inflation Pressures: High 30s to Low 40s (psi)
Camber: -2.5° to -5.0°
Caster: As much positive as possible

Thanks ! Should the rears have a little more then the fronts. maybe 34 - 36 hot to start. These things are soft. They sure ride great compared to my old PS2's.

Drifting
I have ran a set of RA1s in the past. Cold pressures were around 27psi with the rears a pound lower. That would put hot pressures in the mid-30s, sometimes higher depending on how hard I was driving.
Depending on driving style, rears should start lower because the extra heat generated from wheel spin will even them out.
After I set my initial cold pressures, I will go up or down a pound at a time depending on how the car feels. I do not target a hot temp, but rather a hot feel.
If you drive them on the street, just set them to 35psi all around.

Tire pressures, like suspension settings, are a whole moving ball game and its an art because of things like track conditions, weight of the car, camber, caster, toe, and spring rate. You can adjust the car to make it better right up until you go to far and it cause the opposite effect.
My car likes tire pressures at about 36psi which gives me good feel, good tire temps across the tire surface with my current camber settings, and good grip without causing them to overheat. Yours may vary depending on YOUR setup. I offer mine as a good place to start for anyone. Where you end up is up to your measurements after a session with a pyrometer.
Remember this though, the more air you put in a tire the more the tire is going to expand (moisture in the air you put in) and the more the contact patch will decrease as the tire ovals and heats up. If you go too far, the tire begins to slide(car gets loose) which increases the pressure even more and the tire eventually overheats. If my tire temps go over 36psi hot, I decrease the pressures by one pound or so each time until I get back to that place where they are working properly.
I quite often end up at the cold pressures I stated.

I prefer low 30s hot in my C6 Z06, if they get higher they start to feel greasy and lose grip. Depending on track temp I start 6 to 8 psi lower than that, rear 2 psi higher than front.
