Default Cheapest/best stock rotors? looking.....

im mr budget, that being said...who out there (sponsors here included) has the best deal on:

front & rear OE type rotors. I have to have stock replacement (no drilled or slotted) because of AStock scca rules. I also dont want dog crap ones that are a hot rusty mess. Just a simple, oe replacement. Shop here, or on ebay?

I've used these before with good luck. About the cheapest OE type of rotors you'll find.

Rock Auto is by far the cheapest OE rotor around even after shipping costs. Google "Rock Auto Discount Code" to find a current code that will get you an additional 10% off. My last set of fronts were < $30 each shipped to my door.

the hats of these arent painted or coated at all right? so these just turn into a rusty pile of brakes shortly after install, right? if this were a track only car I wouldnt care...but mines a shiny dd, with some track use.

They do not come painted or coated, correct. I spray bomb them with high temp black, works well.

Just bought a set as well. Very painless ordering, and shipped fast

Spray some high-temp paint, like Aardwolf said, and you should be good to go.

Not sure how the Rockauto ones hold up to HPDE use w/race pads. I'll say the Centric premium's lasted about 2 x as long as the GM (made in Brazil) OE versions at the same price point (about $50 shipped to your door for fronts, $35 rear).

Beware though that it is NOT a myth that considerable street use prior to the HPDE does go a long way toward preventing premature crack out. When I had to use new virgin spares, I cracked a rear in 1 day.

I'm trying the DBA 4000 now to see if it is even as good as the Centric for cost/life ratio. Rears were $75 so going to be hard to catch the centric premium there.

I broke out a set of new Centric premiums at Daytona. Put them through 8 hard sessions and still good. Be nice to get 8 more out of them this weekend at Rd Atl.

I have centric on the front now & seem pretty good street/autox, I think they are coated with something to reduce rust?

I had been buying and liking Centric but the price had gone up a lot. Where are you sourcing them? I had been using racepages.com which had free shipping. They were painted black and no coating.

Yeah I started that weekend w/ 3 new rotors and I only had the crackout issue with the 1 rear. The 2 fronts were fine. But the rear was clearly some sort of premature failure as there was no heat checking, just 1 check that quickly grew to the edge and through it on the way home.
