Default Alcon Brakes makes a huge splash into the Corvette Market

About 9 months ago, Alcon called me and asked what do Corvette guys want in a brake system. I told them everything that I know from customer feedback and our experience in brakes. We have been working back and forth since then to come up with this.

I spoke to them about if we gained some interest right away if we could do a GB. They said sell 5 kits and they will be discounted

C5 stock wheel no.
C6Z stock with a small spacer.

Comparable wheel fitment to about every big brake kit out there.

Here is the link to the templates

Pad selection and cost? Replacement ring cost? Any thought of a CC rotor option? I have to admit I really am happy with my Brembo GT setup except for the lack of front pad selection and cost.

There is Hawk pads for these calipers. I'm double checking the shape, and pricing.

The rotors are $475ish each. But last a long time!

What is a CC rotor option?

I have heard the full name. The abbreviations of the world own me. My wife started text messaging me. It's like this

PUD-RBM.

Me "What is that."
Her "Pick up dinner and pick up a movie from red box"

To answer the question. No not at this time.

So, let me get this straight. You told them we wanted a caliper that had to be removed to replace the pads, has a finish that matches the engine cradle, and costs even more than Brembo or Stoptech?

Well,
There is pros and cons to every setup out there.

"Mono" calipers have many pros (less deflection, less pad taper). Brake pad replacement time and cost of the caliper are the drawbacks.

Finish, We had zero impact on that.

Brembo and Stoptech sell at about the same price. Plus or minus a few hunderd dollars.
