Need information about gear ratio 3.90
Hi,
I have just installed Harry's LapTimer on my iPhone and I plan to use it on my next session.
I am now entering data about my car. It is a C5 (not Z06) with regular gear box and a 3.90 rear diff. The LapTimer is asking for each ratio per gear.
I have entered :
1st - 2.66
2nd - 1.78
3rd - 1.30
4th - 1.00
5th - 0.88
6th - 0.50
Could you confirm it is right or direct me to a chart? I don't find one.
Many thanks.

How do you like Harry's timer, and also how do you like the 3.90's. I have an frc with the same tranny that I thought of changing the rearend to 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10's

I love them both.
About 3.90 : it is the way the corvette should have been sold in Europe as we got lots of little roads. At this time I had to remove my 3.90 as it was "singing" and I cannot wait to get it back on the car!

As I have to open my rear diff and gear box to see what is the cause of the singing, I am thinking to replace 5 and 6 gears for smaller ratios. What do you think? Anyone did this?
