Cal Club BFG Super Tour T-1 Races - Buttonwillow Raceway
Here's the video from both Saturday's and Sunday's races. It was good racing both days. My inability to drive without ABS is prevalent in both races. Took 3rd both days.
Saturday
Qualified P5. Started on scrubs, figured didn't have much of a chance with limited time on CCW config.
Highlights at:
0:28 - Jumping from 5th to 3rd on start.
2:00 - Battle for 2nd starts with Roy.
16:20 - B-Spec X gamer Bestwick decides to try some BMXing as I pass by.
19:30 - I loop it trying to setup a good run out of Star Mazda to pass Roy. Race solo after that.
30:50 - While looking ahead at yellow flag, drive off barely missing flagger station at Cotton Corners.
Sunday
Qualified P2. Put on stickers for this race.
0:16 - Wiley Chuck slowly drives me up to the top of my 2nd gear for the green flag drop. Rookie mistake.
5:20 - Get a good run out of Riverside and attempt to pass Chuck at end of back straight. Did not go well. Drop to 3rd.
9:20 - Finally reel in Roy.
10:37 - Pass Roy for 2nd.
14:45 - Roy and I go 2 wide through Sunset.
16:20 - Brain fart and drive right off and on at Offramp, bend right rear toe bar, and back into 3rd for good.
