Default Top Speed at Lime Rock: Fast T1 or ST2 type

Anybody have an idea of top speed on the longest straight at LRP in a very good T1 vette, Nasa ST2, or even better a GTA type stock car?

over 150 I am sure. New track is faster I hear since I was there. Turned into a big battle in a thread a while back, few years ago with doubters. Not sure on the classes you ask about. Modded C5 will hit 150.

Thanks John,

in watching some video of fast cars at LRP was a little surprised to see some like a GT3 Cup only hitting about 130

a new england mod set up for road course running about 140 and that weekend the fast mod guys ran lap times as fast as Daytona Prototypes.

Of course you don't know how good these car and driver combinations are.

these examples were probably from a couple years ago.

150 in an ST2/T1 car at LRP would only be possible if you were cheating!

144, maybe,
135 - 140 is much more normal when running 58's and 59's which are good times for those cars.

I can't speak to the GTA times.

I haven't been to LRP in awhile and not with a corvette, but from my old car numbers to the corvette, I can't see being anything near 150 on that front straight. I figure high 130's or 140 maybe.

Looks like I'm just past 6000 in 4th maybe 6100 which is about 142

I would say a T1 car could be 3-5 MPH faster maybe 147, ST2 car about the same assuming you can come down that hill faster & brake deeper 150 could be possible.

I think 380 + in a good C5 T1

400 - 440 in a typical GTA car @ only about 2800# with driver

not sure about ST2, but I figured similar to T1

ST2 is typically 8.7lb per hp, though that does get altered (generally) by tire choices and to a lesser extent by other factors. Typical hp is around 370.

that should get you 150 with good tires. My car 400/450 with aero is right there.
