Can C6Z06 shocks be used on a 2000 C5?
Can C6Z06 shocks be used on a 2000 C5? And if so how do they compare to Bilstein Sport Shocks?? Looks like I can get the C6Z06 shocks shipped 2nd Day air from Gene Culley for just over $300 and Bilsteins (if they can even be found in time) would be over $400 easy.

Bolts right on, but I would not say it is the same as a C6Z shock set.
I just pulled those off my Z and installed the Bilsteins and no, they are not the same shocks.
The Bilsteins not only use a different valve stack and piston design than stock, they also change extended and compressed lengths and bump stop placement.
As far as physically bolting them on the car...yes it will do that just fine...the same shock, not even close.

Anthony, maybe you would know just how much would a Bilstein Sport Shock need to compress before the bumpstop would be needed? If you've seen a couple of my other posts you would know why I'm asking. LOL!

I actually called LG Motorsports this morning and someone is looking for the one set of Bilstein Sports you have but are hard to find cause of the move. I would prefer to keep Bilsteins on the car as that is what I have run for years on it.
Anthony, maybe you would know just how much would a Bilstein Sport Shock need to compress before the bumpstop would be needed? If you've seen a couple of my other posts you would know why I'm asking. LOL!

You know, I'm kicking myself for not measuring that when I had the car apart.
however, I believe I should be able to get some comparison's by the end of the week for you.

You can bolt on some shocks, bolt on some sway bars, how about a few aero bits, maybe a wing, don't forget the shifter & cold air intake.
Will any of it work for how you use the car? Will it make the car perform better/worse?
Who knows? It's pretty hit or miss unless you are installing a tested package from a "known quantity" vendor. IMO.
