How do I know I boiled my brake fluid?
Just wondering.....I ran all day yesterday and at the end of one session my petal went soft...had to double pump for brakes to work.....after letting the car cool off...... it never had a problem in the afternoon but I didnt run it as long under hard braking....
The brake fluid in the "tank" looks great...
Anyway I'm going to change it out but I wanted to know if thats nessesary..
I'm running motul 600 but may switch to Castrol SRF

Several things contribute to long pedal travel at the track; boiled fluid, old fluid, loose fitting on caliper (allows air in, more common than one might think), pad knock back from warped rotor, ABS needs a good purge, loose wheel bearings (knock back again) and master/slave cylinder problems. If one tracks often all of these problems will arise. Eliminate each of these before every track event.
Oh yeah, 2pc. rotors help several things, including knock back and heat.
