Default Broke the TTS lap record at Infineon/Sonoma

Actually no longer called Infineon. Now it's just Sonoma. I beat the record in the warmup session by 2.4 seconds (ran a 1:43.4 lap), but the first session doesn't count I guess. I was on 4 day old scrubs with about 15 heat cycles by the 2nd TT session which was at 2:20 pm on a hot track and about 1 hour after my ST2 race. I didn't drive as cleanly either. But I'm happy to have the new record with a 1:45.4. I'll go back in the Fall to try to get another 1:43.

Congratulations! Although you passed the Camaro, he seems to be turning really good times also. I only run low 1:50s there, but the "fast guys" in my class (at the Wine Country Classic) also run in the mid 1:40s.

I've never called it anything but Sears Point and never will.

Congrats----again.

Too bad you're racing now instead of time trialing, we have a 2 day event in 2 weeks at Reno for $225 for BOTH days.

VERY SWEET!

I was at 1:42 in the Camaro with the brand new Cortex suspension...which never got developed past install. Which was 3-4 seconds faster than before. I did a 1:50 in the Vintage test day a few weeks ago....hehe. I hope to be fast again someday!

Good job!!!

Thanks Bill. Maybe I'll try to stop by on my way up to Miller. I want to make it out to that track some time this year.

I'm tempted to add a couple hundred more hp and come and race with you guys. I'm sure you will be much faster in that corvette once you get back in the groove.

Envy you going to Miller, Bill.

There's 2 dates left after June 30, Sept 8th and Oct. 12th.

Took my car back out to Sonoma Speedway yesterday to run TTS and ST2. Since I'm the only ST2 car up there, I just ran on Saturday for fun and headed home. I wanted to get back up there to make my 1:43 lap official. My car ran well with the new RPM Transmission diff, LG headers, and rebuilt clutch. At the end of this vid, you can see a Pratt and Miller GT1 corvette totalled by the wall at Turn 7.

Really? I just saw it from a distance in the paddock and saw all the racing decals including SCCA and GT1. It didn't have a cage?

No, maybe a roll bar but no cage. He has all the decals/bodywork to look just like the factory race cars. Rich at Abel put a new LS7 in earlier this year after he blew one up.
