Which Hoosiers R6 or R80/100
Been using R6s on my '06 z 295/40?/18 on 11" ccw corsairs and 345/35/18 on 13" rims. I've been hearing that the R80s and R100s have better grip and similar life.
Can anyone give some input on these choices and if the sizes will work. John from ccw said to use 305/645R18 (R80) 25.6" ht and 12.7" section width, combined with 315/690R18 (R100) 27.3" ht 13.5"section width. He said TC/AH would have to be off- which I do anyway as banking at Homestead applies brakes for you while in comp mode when ur on banking!
Car has been "setup" for road course by Prime-Time Racing --coilovers, camber plates, corner weighted, lowered a bit, stoptechs, seats, harnesses, etc
here's the link to hoosier page. http://www.hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm
What about Michelin takeoff slicks? anyone got info on those in terms of sizing prices, etc?
Appreciate any details of experience, thx guys
