Default --RELEASE-- LG Motorsports ZR1 Race Splitter

-Release-

LG Motorsports is proud to release our ZR1 race splitter for your C6 ZR1/Z06/GS Corvette. This new release is a direct evolution of our ALMS GT2, GrandAm, and Spectre Hill Climb Corvettes and the aero work from those programs.

Initial prototypes were tested for the last two years at the Spectre Hill Climb on our very own ZR1 and have won both years and set new Corvette records each time we went.

We added a full 3+ inches of horizontal surface to the ZR1 splitter for a massive increase in downforce along with a pair of tunnels to each side to give your Corvette the front bite it needs on track.

This full carbon, reinforced splitter only weighs in at 11.1lbs total!

Can be purchased with our without our own mounting kit, but the unit must be frame mounted, no fascia support will carry the downforce of this splitter! Should also be used in conjunction with our LG GT2 wing for a balanced aero package.

THERE IS NO OTHER SPLITTER ON THE MARKET EVEN CLOSE

MSRP $2995.95
Mount kit $389.95

First Production unit is now here!

*MUST BE USED WITH OUR FRAME MOUNTS*

I was extremely envious of this part at VIR last week. This is the most hardcore and functional C6Z splitter I've seen!

Looks like a very sturdy and functional piece! How does it attach to the frame? Also, can the lower part be trimmed at all if one decides to? Looking at it, it seems that the Gurney flaps would need to be wider to line up with the bottom of the splitter.

Thanks.

Wouldnt this splitter require a full wing treatment in the rear or would the MRC compensate for it?

You could trim the front leading edge, but you would have to fill the leading edge again as it is a honeycomb carbon on the bottom so you have the correct front lip again if you needed to cut it back.

We have our own frame mounts that you can purchase as well with supports for the middle, front, and sides.

I would highly suggest a wing to go along with it.

We have a NASA Z06, that will be receiving both the new splitter and the wing next week so I can have more pictures for everyone!

Hi Guys,

I can tell you that this splitter/under tray added enough down force to the front that it required about 4 degrees more wing. And that was using our GT-2 Lemans wing that we sell. There is no wing on the market that puts out as much down force as our Wing.

When you add the front splitter with under tray and tunnels, the change is so dramatic that you could take away 100 hp and still do the same lap times on a track like Mid Ohio.

The overall width is the same as Outside to outside of the leading wheel well flaps. We just connect the two with some racer tape to seal the gap.

I can tell you that part of the 5 seconds that I picked up in the hill climb was directly a result of this under tray.

You can compare the difference that you will felt when you went from street tires to Hosier tires to going from No aero to this splitter/under tray - wing package.

When we installed this front under tray package on the Corvette hill climb car, we had to add 4 degrees of wing angle to balance out the aero down force that the front gained.
At any rate, I just wanted to put my .02 in to

It is available if you want some FREE lap time without driving any harder.

Thanks

Lou Gigliotti

That is no lie on a great aero package. Remember aero don't explode like a motor! It is really weird the first few times out. Nice stuff from LGM once again!

You might want to put that in the instruction manual.

beautiful piece what do the tunnels do as opposed to just being flat a crossed bottom?

Helps create even more of a negative pressure under the car = More downforce.
