Default Return to stock rear bar?

I'm running autocross in my 2001 C5 with the F45 suspension lowered on stock bolts. Mods included CAI & catback exhaust, stock sized Nitto NT-01 tires on stock wheels and C6Z51 front and rear bars. I just installed the rear Z51 bar this year. With just the front Z51 bar I had been running well with the nannies turned off with just a hint of oversteer in the faster corners with good entry/exit out of the slower corners. Well I thought, if the car runs so well with the front Z51 bar then changing out to the Z51 rear bar should make it even better. NOT! While the car feels stuck in the faster corners, it now understeers like crazy on both entry/exit on the slower ones. I'm thinking maybe I should return to the smaller, stock rear bar. Thoughts? I know that ultimately I'll have to ditch the F45 but that's currently beyond my budget.

Nothing has to be matching. You can mix and match what ever bar you want. So if your happy with a previous setup, then stick with it. I own 3 different rear sway bars and right now, I'm not using any. Always go with works for you.

No modding experience here. I feel you have answered your own question simply by stating the facts. Put the rear z-51 bar on the shelf for future setups or re-sale. just my .02

consider a base model or no rear sway bar.

Putting in a bigger rear bar will make it oversteer, not understeer.

As it stands, the original post doesn't really make sense. napacruzer - are you confusing understeer and oversteer? Regardless, if you were happy with the balance of your old setup, then there was never a reason to change anything. Go back to the way it was.
