Default COT Wing Mount... Work in Progress

Hi guys, looking for some feedback. David F, I haven't seen what you made as far as your mounts but I am really curious. I ordered a COT wing awhile back and haven't really done anything with it up until now. I started to do some fabricating for the mounts and this is what I came up with. I am not looking for an aggressive AOA but it will be multi adjustable anyway. The steps I did were 1) measure out the angle of the bracket in cardboard and modified it to the shape I wanted 2) I had it drawn out in CaD and then CNC'd. 3) Mock mounted it and then determined drill areas for the adjustability. I put it as far back as I could but it pretty much ends at the end of my spoiler. As far as height goes, it sits just a little below the roof level. Thoughts??

I think you should have brackets that go to the frame underneath the trunk lid.

Those bolts that you see sticking up, go through the trunk lid and you bolt it down.

I like that idea, can you please provide a closer pic of where you mount it to the frame, and also the exact height of your risers including the angle you used? it will save me a lot of trial and error, also what did you use to cut the lid? Did you use all aluminum, what size?

Thanks,
Steve

I cut all the supports out on the trunk lid. I did that before I knew I was going to have a wing to save weight. I probably wouldn't do that now. It's all aluminum brackets. I think all the pictures should pretty much tell you how I did it. I hope.

they might be a little heavy duty for a wing, but sometimes you have to use what you can find

Depends on wing, air foil shape, cord length.....

Also...and the biggest for most, class rules for where you are running.
