Default Brad Penn Oil ??

Anyone here using Brad Penn 20w50 oil ?? My understanding is that is is the old green oil brought back. My son-in-law runs a dragster and says it is great, but I am wondering how it does for a 30-40 min. session. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Too thick for these engines IMO. Creates excess heat. I stick to 10w40 synthetic. I prefer Amsoil XL.

Not a direct response but related: I've been running the 15W40 Brad Penn oil. It is green in color. On my C5 I have a DeWitts rad with built in EOC. I see temps from 250-265 on the track. During normal street usage my idle pressure is 40PSI. At temp on track it goes down to 30 at idle (not sure what it is at high RPM). I've used it for the last couple of oil changes. Most recently I changed the oil at 2000 miles with about 7.5 hrs of track time and had it tested by Blackstone. Results were pretty good except for copper content was high, but can't say if that is in anyway oil related or not. Here is a write up from Blackdog Racing on Brad Penn oil
