My Road America pix
I didn't even have time to get my camera out, so these are just crappy cell phone pix. Surprising how busy you are, and how long the days are, working with the crew of an ALMS team. You see a lot more as a fan, but the experience was awesome. Sadly I only got to work one race pit stop, before the 93 car was retired after a shunt into the wall. I was the lollipop (the sign that shows the driver where to stop) and front tire handler (held tire for the over the wall tire hanger, and grabbed the old tire).
Sorry if you don't see the pix, they are on facebook, still too tired to host them someplace else.

That has to have been a pretty cool experience for you Dave, but as you mentioned - long, hard days and you did not get to see much of the track. Thanks for the pics.

Yeah, 7am to 10pm, on your feet the majority of the time. I got to see the rental car, restrooms, catering tent, paddock tent, pit box, Michelin tire trailers, and the VP fuel truck...oh, and the road between Road America and Sheboygan
Someone got me on video too. That's me making sure the leg of the eazy-up doesn't go anyplace! LOL Why do cameras never catch you actually doing something?

Name is Dave, and they made me ditch the Riley hat on wed., exchanging it for an SRT Viper hat.

Hopefully I'll be at Petit, planning to go as a spectator.

Track Attack People all around!
Nice to hear so many Track Attack Vette fans were at the RA ALMS race. I really enjoyed the Corvette Tribute on track event on Sunday. Cool Weather, not very busy track and open roads and high speeds! Lot of fun! Doug F head of Vette Racing says it will be challenging for the new (old) Vipers to be compettive due to thieir steel frrame and higher weight. I agree they look pretty good standing still.
