DIY Car Elevated Stand

Nice. I like this idea! I may have to build something myself...
I would consider leaving the welds alone for structural strength over grinding them down, just prep and paint.

I don't get it... why not just use jack stands on the chassis like everyone else?
1. Jack front crossmember.
2. Lower front cradle onto stands.
3. Jack rear cross member.
4. Lower rear cradle onto stands.
Done... no ramps, no fancy fab'd stands, and you can work on the car with the wheels/tires off.

Those would come in handy for like adj preload when installing front sways. I had to borrow some ramps so I could get at mine. I have some 6 ton jackstands I use if I need car up that high for extended projects. Nice diy project though.

I have two sets of rhino ramps for doing stuff where I need the suspension loaded. Not knocking the fabrication, it's a good idea if you have the metal and time to DIY.
