Corvette vs Porsche - Charity Autocross at Pocono Sep 15th
Apologies to anyone who may have already seen this in Wally's post, but Saturday, September 15th, there will be an AX for the benefit of the Janet Weis Children's Hospital with all proceeds going to the hospital.
For those of you who are dyed in the wool coneheads this will be a great event alongside the DE using the large open parking lot on the south side of the track. The very talented autocrosser, Larry Herman will be setting up a challenging 65 second +/- course. The entry fee is $75 for non-PCA members which includes the BBQ dinner afterward or $55 for the autocross only. Again, all proceeds from the AX go to charity.
Good natured rivalry and fun to be had as those of us with Corvettes try to put the myriad of Porsches in their place. There's also the age-old DE vs AX challenge to be answered. In recent events the Porsches/AXers (one in particular) have held the upper hand, so come out and let's see what a well-driven Corvette can really do vs a Porsche.
