C5 slave with throwout bearing(the T/O bearing is on the slave when bought new from GM)

Yes, C5 slave and master

LS2/3/7(same flywheel/clutch after 2006), you need the LS2/3/7 FW for the C6 clutch

be sure to measure the the t/o bearing to t.tube vs. pres plate to bellhousing gap and get it setup to within spec.

Look on Ticks site for info on the gap check

When I had the LS7 clutch installed in my 03Z I had to install the LS7 flywheel and use an LS6 slave. I purchased everything as a kit from Gene at GM Parts House.

I highly recommend replacing the pilot bearing with a bushing. A compatible bronze piece can be had from NAPA for a few bucks.

I've got my '05 all stripped down and awaiting parts delivery for a full clutch job. Why do you recommend replacing the pilot bearing with a bushing?

The bronze bushing is much more forgiving to slight misalignments than the needle bearing. The pilot shaft doesn't see much in the way of actual velocity (mainly when at idle in gear), so the bronze bushing works just fine.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
