Default suspension drop

I have a C6 Z51 with stock springs and shocks with a very mild
allignment I do about 6-8 track weekends a year. What has happened is the front end has dropped about an inch, were I can barely get a finger between the tire and fender lip. I was wondering what to look at when I get car on jackstands?

Thanks
Bill R.

Possibly one of the eccentrics bolts has slipped.

shocks could be worn
the spring pads could have broken off of the adjusters
or
less likely the spring could be messed up

good luck!

I'd guess eccentrics have slipped as well. These cars hold they're tolerances well until the eccentrics move. If you're ever in Macon, feel free to stop by and I'll check it for you.

If the eccentrics have moved would that not change camber?
Tire wear has been normal, meaning no abnormal tire wear.

Thanks

Most likely cause is that the front spring is broken. If an excentric had slipped the car would be handling funny, the steering wheel would be off center or the car would be darting around.

If it isn't doing any of those other things, it's most likely you've had a spring collapse.

Jack it up and look for fraying of the spring. Look at the sides of the spring for evidence of it splitting.

It sounds pretty low, is it riding harsh, like it is on the bump stops??? That would also be indicative of the spring breaking..

Ended up being the bushings on the end of the lowering bolts. They were
completly gone.

I have a set of the hardbar delrin front spring adjusters if anyone needs a pair. $50 shipped. Also have rear delrin spring bushings if anyone is interested.

They both have had good reviews. The LPE is more like the T1 and hyperco vs the rounded hardbar.

There are a few threads on the two.
