Default ST2 C6 to GT2 build

With STO cars either going to T1 or GT2, we decided there would be more cars and it would be more fun to go GT2. With traditional GT2 cars, GT3 Cup cars, TA2 cars and now the STO cars, we think it will be a fun class. So far, the car counts have been good 6 to 7 and for COTA in March there's about 25 registered.. Maybe more.

For anyone who might be interested:

So this is our starting pointhttp://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...ll-set-up.html

Plans:
> Autronic stand alone engine management
> Removal of all GM electronics - ALL OF IT!
> Improve the aero - better spllitter, side skirts.
> custom remote resevoir coilovers from STANCE.
> Phadt competition sway bars.
> Replace headlights with W/C Grand AM type ones or simply cover
> Some other misc set up changes/exhaust interior -etc
> Remove LS6 and install an LS7.
> Decide which slicks to run. Think it will be Hoosier or Pirelli

I'm thinking it might be just a tad more fun to drive! I'm already training for it every morning!

We will be selling some stuff in March/April. The LS6 with 4 weekends on it, an accusump and a few other items and will have another post for that stuff when it happens.

Here is the start... 123lbs in wiring and dash alone.

Good choice. That's going to be a heck of a GT2 car. I wish they would have announced this a bit earlier, as my plans may have been a bit different.

So why the change from NASA to SCCA? Or are you planning to still run ST1 this year?

Had some major issues with NASA and I will not be running with them, ever.

Unless of course, they automatically want to qualify me for the 2013 Championship and waive my entry fees as an apology! Which of course won't happen, so just SCCA for me.

Excellent! You had quite an ST2 car which will make a great GT2 car. You are right T1 is dead. I know no one who is running it. Oli and I will be at COTA so look forward to meeting you there. Oli will be in ST2 trim running in Gt2. I'll be in T2 trim being lapped by you guys.

I bought a Trans Am Corvette from Tony Ave that I'm driving, and Robby Huffmaster will be in a TA2 Camaro purhased from Bob Stretch.

I haven't taken delivery of the car yet. We meet Tony at CMP next weekend to pick it up. So, no pictures yet.

FBB, not making it to COTA this year. Wish I was, but the car won't be ready - not a simple switch over! Shame would love to run with you guys.

Great for you Dave! I miss my GT1 car immensely. This is absolutely nothing like it. Unless you lose major budget, don't ever come back to a production based car!

Robby can run in GT2 with his TA2 car.

No time for updates lately, but I am happy to report, it's a running beast and we are pretty happy with the results... A low quality video of one the dyno pulls..

More pics to come... Hopefully testing at Autobahn on Wednesday!
