I've been looking for salvage Z06's for donor parts to go into my C4 ZR-1...this one didn't end pretty.

Be interested to hear the story on what happened...hopefully everyone was OK

Web site says it's in Fremont, CA at their auction yard...

Hoosiers, no cage and that many stickers is usually a bad combo.
I'm surprised ZO6Cool wasn't in the passenger seat.

Believe that car was a victim of a DE event at Sears Point.

Good that your back on track....and now knowing you and watching footage of you racing I know it's not because he is a "bad" driver....gp2race knows his stuff and can SERIOUSLY drive well

It's on my watch list...they haven't given it a sale date as of yet.

It's going to go for more than what I wanted to spend I'm sure...the last 4 I've seen in almost comparable condition went for $9k - $10.5k.

I've been lurking on the auction site to get a feel for what salvage values are for C6Z06's. I've found a few in WAYYY worse shape than yours coming up...absolutely unsalvageable as far as getting them back on the road again.

Glad you're OK

Are you already back into another Z06?

Yes back now in 2013 GS VY with all the triming. I figure all I need is good shocks, tires and brakes for track, Z06 is nice but costly to repair.
Insurance company is INSANE!! the buy back valued was 17k....
FYI...the motor only has 10k...just broke in. Installed by Abel's chev last April 2012. Drivetrain does have 53k
motor is good w/ ARE oil pan only. tooked out ARE Stage 3 system out minus the radiator, oil filter adaptor and 3 oil lines.
no shocks,
sub frame cracked
door on back is mint...
Decals are FREE LOL

Stainless exhaust valves?

I'm hoping the others I'm looking at will be around $6k...it makes the budget for the ZR-1 build a little fatter that way.

Glad you are back on track...hate to see that happen to ANY Corvette ...let alone one that looked as good as yours.

This is the kind of C6Z06 salvage I'm looking at and watching...

Not a chance anyone would think about buying it for a track car conversion...so I think the sale price will be much lower.

I hear you...she looked like there was a lot of TLC in her...

Someone got a pretty sweet deal...be interesting to see if they put her back on the road or just part it out.
