Wheel hub questions
My left rear wheel has begun to smell like burning grease. My guess is the hub is going out (possibly could have been caused by suddenly doing 70 on track yesterday leading with my left rear wheel, sideways). I currently have stock hubs on all four wheels. Can I just replace the one with an SKF, or do all four need to be done at once? Is an alignment required after hub replacement?
Thanks,
Chris

Track Junky
It's probably best to replace in pairs if swapping to SKF, singles if staying with stock. No alignment should be needed but it doesn't hurt to measure before and after.

Safety Car
Make sure to keep the other rear hub that is good. You can use it as a back up in case you need one at the track as it will work on the front also.

Burning Brakes
Grease Smell
Another thing to look at is the rubber boots on the axle shaft.
On my wife's AX car, the outer joint was bad, it had a small squeak and threw a little grease out due to the heat. As my wife drove by I listened and thought it was the hub also. When I pulled the hub and axle to replace the boot with a replacement kit, it was discovered the outer flex joint was bad.
