Default Open trailer + wing?

I see folks doing this. Is it something to worry about? It would put downforce on the trailer, but if that was in a decent spot, it should not be bad (not lifting up the hitch). Does anyone do this?

I do it. Trailer corners sooo much better!

Seriously, I cannot tell the difference.

it is, but it sucks. Hard to carry, easy to damage. I figured, at small AoA, the downforce on the trailer would be minimal especially at highway speeds. I mean the wing is good to over 150 MPH... 70 on the highway ought to be pretty easy.

The downforce generated by any bolt on wing at highway speed is going to be significantly less than the total weight of the car on the trailer (<10%). It should be fine.

I agree with above, with all of the turbulence coming off of your truck etc, even in a perfect setup you aren't getting much downforce at highway speed. Downforce is a square of speed, so even a great wing drops pretty low at 55mph

just add a wing on the truck to keep the hitch down!
