I bought the A6's from a track owner who said I'd get about 3- 4 tack days out of these. After completing my second track day what do you guys think about running these fronts? I do NOT know how many times they were previously H.C'd.
Here are the rears..

Nothing wrong with those! I think that you are probably concerned about all of the rubber chunks stuck all over the tires. Just stay out of the marbles when coming off the track with hot tires to help avoid that. When these tires get hot literally everything sticks to them!

ok great news. What are those small slashes in the rubber?

What's the date code on the tires? If they are cracking from being out in the sun them you might not want to run them if they haven't been stored properly or are too old.

they look ok.....not sure you will get 4 track days.....I would flip them on the rim (looks like the previous owner didnt have all that much camber on the car)....will be a little pushy till the camber wear sets in

I've had better looking A6s cause me to bust my *** but not from coming apart. They just got too greasy after 15 minutes of track time and pushed out. I was partially at fault for not heading the warning signs. That was my one and only time buying scrub A6s and they were sold as having 3 to 5 heat cycles on them. From that point on I went back to buying new V710s.
That said I would not trust those tires with the little cracks on the edge and I sure as heck would not flip them and put the cracked edge on the outside. My personal opinion.

I know places I can get new tires; I don't know places I can get a new me. How did they feel when you drove them for 2 days? What is the condition of the existing back tires? I don't run old and new tires but heck, some guys run tires if they hold air for a full session!

There is a shiny metal tread under the black rubber one. Its not as fast as the rubber one but it works. When that one is gone then the tire is done.
Yours look great, keep running them!

Here are some that are done. The white stuff is just dirt/sand I drove thru when I got home. Good that it didn't rain.
I would have really had a handful. Teaches car control.
JK, don't try this at home.

Thanks for all the input fellas. I'm not racing, and I'm definitely not as good as most guys out there... So I think I'll run them for another track day or so. Take that $1600 that I would have spent and upgrade the heads .
