Default Aftermarket gas pedal?

A friend of mine who sold his car two years ago, said he had an aftermarket pedal which looked stock but had the extended lower to aid in heal/toeing. He said it was a replacement, not a drill into the stock pedal type like you would find with Momo or some other brands. He said you just removed the pin and swapped it out. Anyone know where I can find these?

I hate to semi-derail you, but if heel/toe shifts are what you want I highly recommend some grippy aftermarket covers.

Just driving on the street with wet shoes was dangerous before! I do not know of a slide in factory piece, though I am curious just to know.

with Nick!!

Below is a picture of my EE heel-n-toe accelerator pedal and dead pedal. I just have the stock brake and clutch pedals - I've never had any problem with them.

^^ +1 on the EE heel-toe pedal & dead pedal.

I tried the pedal covers like post #2 & didn't like them...those rounded edges of the stock brake & clutch pedals work well for a reason, & the EE pedals round out the whole set up & are designed very well. My extra wide sz 12's don't have any issues either.

be careful if adding covers to maintain proper (for your foot) separation btw the gas and brake. Even with a decent gap and racing shoes, I had to ditch my gas pedal cover b/c I was (very) occasionally touching the gas pedal when braking after downshifting

More than once, I'm slamming brakes and the engine is screaming.

Big difference between #2 and #4.

Clearly this is a case of one size NOT fitting all drivers.

For my 11.5 D the stock setup is

That is correct about the pedal height. The problem is not that the throttle pedal is not wide enough. It's that the brake pedal is too low relative to the throttle. What I did was make my own pedal for the throttle and then I welded a 1/4" thick pedal I made on top of the factory brake to raise it. Also, it is not desirable to have too much grip on the throttle pedal. One's foot needs to slide easily on it. Often times, no pedal at all is used on race cars, but rather a roller wheel.

I have the slightly narrower regular Elite Engineering pedal. Not my car, but it looks like this:

I can now reach both pedals to heel & toe. Now if only I was a lot better at it.

Thanks guys! This looks like what I am wanting. I learned to heel-toe in my Mustang Cobra several years ago, but the pedals were about the same depth when hammering on the brake. The Z06 has much more sensitive brakes so I can imagine that the pedals don't quite line up as much. I will see if I can adapt.

I have an Elite Engineering pedal that I'm not using and would be willing to sell.
PM me if interested.

Did you get the regular size or the heel-toe size? The regular size even looks like it has a wider than stock width. Do I really need the heal-toe width? I noticed that even with running shoes and the stock pedal, I can blip the throttle w/o too much reach.

I have the Heal - toe width EE Pedal and to be honest I really wish it were wider. With driving shoes on it isn't close enough to do the rolling H-T method.

Has anyone tried the Lingenfelter pedals? They have a nice package that includes clutch & brake for about the same price? My pedals are a little slippery when wet...

Default Lingenfelter pedals

We offer versions with a standard width and a wide gas pedal for racing customers that want the wider gas pedal.

We don't recommend the wider gas pedal for street use.

As supercharger111 said these are awesome pedals and give much better feel than stock IMHO. I had several close calls with my foot sliding off the brake pedal and these have super grippy surface for brake and clutch. Mine has a smooth gas pedal surface but they make several options.

For you guys who have installed the EE gas pedal, how in the #$%&* did you get the pin thru the pedal and the spring to line up right??? I have been at it for about 30 min and can't the stupid thing all the way thru to line up so I can screw it in!
