Default oil pressure port

I never have to work on my c5Z it is so reliable but....anyone know a quick place to hook an external oil pressure guage? Does anyone know if the oil pressure on the DIC run independantly of the guage? if they are one system then it can be questioned.

Left front of the block behind the alternator there is a plug
