Which vented hood would provide the best cooling and downforce
Here are couple hoods I'm considering. Please provide your input as to which one would provide the best cooling. I would assume that each would most likely produce about the same downforce (reduced lift actually), and I'd also bet that the cooling effect is pretty close as well. Maybe the World Challenge hood would offer superior cooling since the center louvers are just behind the radiator, but your opinions are welcomed.
RPI designs and MTI Extractor
Corvette Mods
Katech
ACP and LG World Challenge
Edit: almost forgot Halltech...
Not many designs out there, but prices are all over the place. Any idea how much to paint? Wrapping can be anywhere from $400-1000 depending on material and design.

World challenge (LG) and Hall are probably the best
but you will get minimal downforce without a splitter
a few of us did a hood swap with similar hood at VIR last year and little or no sop difference in keeping the front end down at 150 on the back straight still a bit light going over the top vs stock

Do you guys think the WC hood will make that much more difference over the others? It's double the cost of the others (except Halltech). Trying to balance cost and function here.

Gorgeous car! I don't think my pockets are as deep as your though. I am considering a ZR1 style splitter as a stop gap until I can get a true splitter/wing combo... May have to sell a kidney for that! Or sell my first born... Man this stuff is expensive

I kinda like the vent your own option as well. I found a used hood locally here for cheap and may consider venting it and painting to match my car.
My heart really sits with the WC hood, although my wallet doesn't. I need a way to justify buying it Can I get a little help?

I would imagine the World Challenge hood would be pretty good for you since it was purpose built for that. I do like the looks of the MTI hood though
Are there good ZR1 splitters for non widebody cars? Can you run a real splitter that seals under on a base coupe? Will it cool enough since coupes are bottomfeeders?

I've got the Katech splitter and and undertray w/ the Katech spoiler and those virtually eliminate the lightness over the rise on the back straightaway at VIR, but I don't think I'm hitting 150 mph at that point. I might be at 150 at the bottom but that's not a good time to be lookin' at the HUD.

I wonder how much additional downforce you get with one of these vented hoods. My car oversteered a fair amount with just the splitter and skirts. AH (in Comp Mode) would whack one of the right side wheels fiercely about midway through the downhill at Lime Rock. Added the spoiler and intervention has not reoccurred. If you add the vented hood, I wonder if the front end grip increases enough to start the oversteering / invention all over again?
I like some of these hoods but not enough to upset the balance.
