Default Recaro Pole Position Seat Help

Has anyone installed a Recaro in their Z06? Which seat bracket did you use and please post a pic of your installation.

I just had mine installed and the seat belt receptacle seems too short to run on the outside of the seat, and my shop ran it thru the seat which isn't too comfortable when getting in the car. A different seat bracket might solve my dilemma.

Thanks for any info.

Default seats

I do not have Recaro seats - I have Cobra Imolas and I used the brackets from Hardbar. Everything worked out nicely.

Is there room for it between the seat and tunnel? Maybe that's why they did that, not due to length of it. maybe need to offset the seat a bit to the left. Does that bracket allow that?

Good observation, it is pretty snug but I think it can fit. I will have to try monkeying around with it this weekend.

If you want the seatbelt to do it's job, leave the installation the way it is. The belt needs to go from your hip down and back to carry impact loads correctly and keep you in place.

Kent,

I saw the pic of your installation and your receptacle is run over the bolster. You don't think that would be alright? I have seen installations both ways.

Yes. That seat belt is where you want it, for an accident anyway.
