Default Pocono North

I'm looking for a Pocono North event. In May or June.

Any good clubs out there?
Something organized, and not just a big mixed group of all skill level drivers.

NASA has an event on their schedule mid July, I think it's double infield. Not open for registration yet.

I'll be there July 12-14 with NASA - Pocono Long Courses.
I think that friday they may run each individual course (north, south, east) and no long courses until the weekend.

There is a group of us convoying to Pocono for the NASA July 13th event but we are only running on the Sat and Sunday We all registered already, so not sure why registration isn't open ??? Thats weird

EDIT** Event was open for the early registration specials but was then closed. They will be re-opening registration soon and they will also announce what the track configuration will be once they hear back from Track Management.

Cumberland Valley Corvette Club (CVCC) is holding the annual HPDE May 4 & 5 on the North course.

Entry Fees include both days:
STUDENTS (with instructor) - $335 INTERMEDIATE - $310
ADVANCED - $285

This event is approved for supplemental HPDE insurance from Lockton Affinity

Snell 2005 (or newer) approved helmet (M or SA) and mounted onboard fire extinguisher minimum 5BC rating with metal bracket and metal to metal clamp are required by NCCC insurance to run in the school.

I'll try to answer any questions, but for registration call Dave Walter at (717) 691-9320 (before 9 PM please) or e-mail to: david.j.walter@verizon.net

Not to get off subject, but does anyone know if they re-paved all the infield courses? North south and east?

Minimum width is now 40 feet with all new paving in the infield along with new track sections added to the South and East courses.

Might have to come out of retirement for one day on street tires

It will be interesting being the only guy in the red/instructor group to run on street tires with OEM suspension

bummer I missed out on discount. Sounds like a number of forum members attending, good deal. Looking forward to it and the new surface. I basically decided to stop going there, I could not stand the track so I'm excited they repaved it...

They haven't updated their web site to reflect the changes. They now have 20 track configurations not including the Tri-oval. They have five configurations combing the South and East courses. We will be using the entire track for our September event using much of the new infield.

There's a PDF floating around with the different configs in it. Joe from Phoenix posted a link to it some time ago.

Yes, nice easy group to run with, good track time.
They do not allow passing on the short straight, even for advanced.

I wonder if that will change this year with the wider track. Despite not being able to pass there we still ran some good lap times.
