Race is on at 5:30 today, qualifying update

They ground the track and it's much faster than last year, they ran 4 secs faster in qualy than the year before. Enough that they had to change gear ratios as they had so much more exit grip/speed, their terminal velocity was also increased, and required taller gearing.

The INDYcars ran 1:06.xx in qualy

The Grand Am is on Speed today (4/7) at 5:30 PM. It's a tape delay broadcast, of yesterdays race.

The Barber Indy Car race is live on NBC Sports at 3:00 PM.

The reason they put the orange bumps on the curbing at COTA was to break suspension parts so you wouldn't cheat the corners. Looks like it works.
