Default Brake duct hose without using c6 z06 ducting

on a base c6:

Has anyone tried running hose from the lower brake duct inlet to the rotor without using the z06 plastic ducting?

Im wondering if there would be tire clearance issues...

thanks!

That's how I have my brake ducts on my C5 ST2 car. No problems. Just zip tied in as far as possible where the front tires turn in.

I have tire clearance issues with the stock C6Z ducts. Also, have issues with the stock rim clearing the flexible ducts at full lock.
