New dba t3 rotors?
Anyone using these? Are they a good replacement from Oem? I track the z and the rotors are cracking bad.

Which DBA T3 variety are you talking about, the T3 4000 series single piece slotted or the T3 5000 series 2 piece ?? I have used both on my Z06. The 4000 series has much better metalurgy (sp) than the cheap Chinese crap rotors available from the parts stores. I got maybe another 30% life out of them before they cracked. Last year I switched to the DBA 5000 series 2 piece units. These are pricy, but last MUCH longer ! I have 8 weekends (50 sessions) so far on this set of rings, they show a lot of surface checking but are still going strong. What it really amounts to is how bad do you hate changing rotors ? 4000 series you are going to change out more frequently but cost less. 5000 series last a lot longer but are pricy ---
Brake cooling is VERY important to rotor life - if you don't have it add now ! There are several vendors that sell the 5000 series at a good discount off list - KNS brakes in NC has the best prices I have found.

I was looking at The 4000 series.

The 5000 are .100" thicker on the rotor walls (smaller air gap) than any of the other rotors (AP T1, Wilwood Spec37, Coleman, etc). All of them are around .300-.320 and the DBA are .410".

For near the same price you may want to check these out. http://shop.performanceafx.com/C6-Z06_c14.htm

I like the flat face "non drilled or slotted". http://shop.performanceafx.com/C6-Fr...100166-167.htm You can give them a call and they can give you more detail on them, such as the rear rotors with or with out the parking brake, Performance AFX has great customer service as well.

I already have 2 sets of the DBA 5000 hats. Do the DBA hats work with any other brands rings?

We found the DBA rotors to be more durable and more consistent than typical replacement rotors.
So much so we had DBA make us blanks.

When will they be ready?
What is your opinion on pad wear of drilled vs slotted vs blank ??
And thanks again for sponsoring the Corvette Challenge

I would not expect too much difference in various types of machined rotors unless the machining was poor.
