Monaco Formula One Schedule on NBC SportsNet
Formula One - Monaco Schedule on NBC Sports Network
AND ON *NBC* !!!!!
HEADS UP!!! THE LIVE COVERAGE OF THE RACE ITSELF WILL BE
ON YOUR REGULAR NBC NETWORK CHANNEL AND *NOT* ON NBC SPORTSNET.
All reruns of the race WILL be on NBC SportsNet
*ALSO*
There is no racing on Friday in Monaco. So the first two practice
sessions will be on THURSDAY. See the schedule below.
======================================== ============
I pull this info from from my Tivo's schedule. I have no gaurantees that
it is correct but it usually is.
Note: All *live* Formula One broadcasts are subject to delays (rain,
accidents, etc.) that can cause the show to run longer than scheduled.
If you don't want to have your recording stop right in the middle of the
greatest ever qualifying session or race - add extra time to your
recordings. My rule of thumb is to add an hour to the practice and
qualifying shows and AT LEAST TWO HOURS to the race itself. That
usually covers my ***.
Note: they are now SOMETIMES including the pre-race show as a part of
the race schedule (be consistant, NBC!) By rule, all (non-delayed
and/or non-interrupted) F1 races must come in at under two hours in
length. So, when it says "2:30 - race" that REALLY means "2:30
pre-race, 3:00 race")
If you see "pre-race" listed then it's 30 minutes for that which is
followed immediately by the race itself.
Note: The post-race show "F1 Extra" is shown immediately after the race
show whatever time that may be. So the easiest way to make sure you
record it is to simply added enough extra time to the race broadcast to
get (a) any extra time that was needed to record the entire race
including any delays, and (b) "F1 Extra".
Monaco 2013 Schedule - ALL TIMES PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME !!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday May 23, 2013
-----------------------
5:00 AM - Practice 2 [LIVE] (8:00 AM Eastern)
9:30 PM - Practice 2 [REPLAY] (12:30 AM Friday Eastern)
The listings on my Tivo show these as "Practice 1" and "Practice 2"
respectively. But if you compare the times that they are showing them
with the actual "live" times of the practice sessions, it doesn't
make sense. So I'm *guessing* at what's going to be shown and
that the TIVO listing is incorrect. But it could be otherwise.
Either way, it will be what it will be :-)

Yeah. Bob Varsha has to be really green with envy over that bit.
NBC announced at the beginning of the season that the team would be going to Monaco. It's a good thing for their coverage to let the gang mingle in person with their contacts in the sport. Technology is great but there's still nothing like face-to-face contact to keep relationships strong.
I had to laugh at Hobbs' comment about how Monaco is a "Rolex place". A Rolex at Monaco is like a Timex in most of the U.S. Check out Hublot watches if you want to get a taste of Monaco's reality. http://www.gizmag.com/hublot-laferrari-watch/27278/

Senna - The Movie - on NBC SportsNet
For those of you who didn't catch the Monaco qualifying show this morning (which was really quite a good show!) ...
Tonight (Saturday, May 25) at 8:00 PM Eastern (5:00 PM Pacific) NBC SportsNet will be showing the movie "Senna".
Very cool!
If you haven't seen the film, it's VERY good.

Indeed! Best qualifying of the year!
Re: Senna
I just went to program the Tivo to get "Senna" and the schedule still has Hockey stuff listed so be sure to just record whatever they have scheduled for 5:00 PM Pacific (8:00 PM Eastern) and make sure that it keeps recording for at least 2 1/2 hours! Give yourself room for error.
