Default Tire and Rim Set Up for Track Days Question

I posted this in the Z06 forum too, but thought here would be a good idea also. I have a 2003 Z06 and I am looking to get a new set up rims and tires for the track for HPDE, ect. events. I have done all the research on making sure I maintain the correct tires sizes between front and rear. Here is my question though, I have a certain wheel dealer telling me a great package to put on it is 285/35/18 with 11 inch rims on the front and 305/35/18 with 12 inch rims on the back using Nitto NT555 RII's. Is there anybody out there running this setup? I am not worried about looks, but I don't want it hanging outside the rear fender so far that I am tearing up the paint or causing any other issues. I have the after market GM brake air ducts also in the front. My car is lowered about 1.5 to 2 inches on Pfadt coil over and sway bars too. Let me know what you guys think

I would put the 285's on a 10" wheel and the 305's on the 11" wheel.

I have run the above sizes using the RII's

with 10" fronts and 11" rears you can run a ton of different brands as well, I have two sets of 18's in those sizes.

Not sure what stock sizes are on your car. My 2012 grand sport wide body I run 18x11 front and 18x12 rear at the track and very happy with the setup. CCW actually recommended a 13 inch rear but I have more tire choices with a 12 in reach.

If you oem rear tire is 11 you may want to stick with that as a 12 inch would stick out.
