Default NASATX Racing Video from Hallett ST1

I thought I’d share video from this past weekend from NASATX at Hallett in Oklahoma from the Blitz race group. I ended up starting on pole in Race 2. Overall for the weekend’s 4 races, ST1 turnout was not great. 5 cars registered, 2 no-showed and 1 blew up idling in the pits after unloading (sorry Rene!). So it was a light turnout and the real fun was had chasing (or holding off) a faster STU Mustang or a well driven GTS4 Porsche. I lost to the Mustang all 3 races except the one race where he sheared the wheel studs! In this race I started on pole. I gapped the field and the Mustang started from the back and fetched me by lap 10. I cooked the right rear a bit but had a lot of fun. Points of interest:

8:15: big save

9:03 Cursing with my hand (and I the only one that does this?)

10:35: final futile effort to put power down early and hold off my nemesis.. sadly it didn’t work.

The final two laps were fun keeping him in my sights and challenging but really he had backed off some and I was just keeping him honest.
Best lap of the weekend was a 1.21.2 which was the 2nd fastest time of any TT or race group, behind the Mustang. The heat was taking its toll; I think it was 94 when the race started for this race.

It's a wonder you could see anything with that tank in front of you! I want to make it to a crossover event with NASATX, but sadly it probably won't be for a year or 2. Long distance trips are spendy.

Very nice, Jerry! Great driving and your car sounds like hell is riding into town on Thunder horses or something.

Default Hallet - New Home Track

Moving from DC area this summer, Hallet will be my new home. Won't likely get out till next year.

Great video!

You'll become a big fan...Heartland Park is pretty close (~230 miles) in Topeka as well, so you'll have two great tracks to play at.

I'm a Maryland boy and didn't move to Texas until about 20 years ago, you'll enjoy OK for sure. Plan on running with NASATX around the same time next year, we would love to have you!

How many vettes are in the ST classes in NASATX? All of RM's are in TT. Since we cross pollenate, it'd be nice to see the class populate here. We're having an event this weekend, and I think it's with NASATX. That or Central, but I think it's TX.
