Default Widest tire?
Vette is currently running 275 40 17 all around but I wanted to know if I could run a 315 35 17 on the back for a wider stance. Will the stock wheel accommodate that rear tire size? Thanks

What wheel? If it's a 17x9.5 then NO. The biggest you can go is 285 maybe a 295 but probably not safely. tire racks website will tell you what the rim spread in inches is for each tire, in the specs section.

So yes....they are 17x9.5......will a 245-45-17 work up front then?

Go to tire rack website and type in the tires you want and it will give you the rim sizes allowed/recommended in the specs section.
