Default ZR1 rotors

Just got a 2011 Z06 Carbon Edition which has the ZR1 ceramic rotors. Any thing special I need to do with the rotors if I want to autocross the car?

You make me sick.

(Probably 7 oz.'s of iron filings floating around in the engine oil.......)

You should burnish the brakes to get the maximum performance from them. The procedure is in your owners manual and there is a sticky in the ZR1 section that covers the process pretty well. You should do it even if you don't track the car.

Congrats on the new ride. Your CC will take a serious hit if you ever have to replace the pads or rotors ! Follow the process in the owners manual for break in.

If you are only going to autox it 3 or 4 times a year then They'll probably last a long time, but if you are going to be serious & maybe track it then research the cost of replacement & frequency.

Go to the c6zr1 forum & see if anyone tracks theirs.
